Children’s museums have been a particular focus of BrownKnows Design’s repertoire, but we also love to work with other types of museums. Learning about far-ranging fields through the research and design process for museum exhibits provides a never-ending education. Some recent museum collaborations include: Otter Cove Children’s Museum, Duluth Children’s Museum, and Minnesota Discovery Center.
-
BKD values the opportunity to help preserve and promote interest in regional history and natural or cultural heritage! Sample projects: Hjemkomst Interpretive Center, Adams Homestead, Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center.
-
All BKD staff have a theatrical background, which provides a unique approach to designing creative environments of all types. We continue to maintain this direct connection to our theater roots through projects in scenic design, lighting design, and other technical fabrication.
-
Exquisite and perfect detail is required for pieces that will appear on camera! BrownKnows Design has had the pleasure of creating set pieces for the film Virginia, Minnesota and the YouTube channel Word on Fire.
-
Our most unique projects don’t fall within an easy categorization, but they inspire us to think in new & creative ways! Some examples include a collaboration with the ND Corn & Soybean Councils at the Red River Zoo and the redesign of a downtown office space!
