MINNESOTA DISCOVERY CENTER
The Minnesota Discovery Center (Chisholm, MN) is home to three exhibits for which BrownKnows Design has designed, fabricated, and installed components. For “Blue Collar Battleground: The Iron Range Labor Story,” BrownKnows’ contribution included re-creation of a complete labor spy office, creation of interactive modules to illustrate the struggles of the labor movement against corporate and governmental obstacles, and design and installation of architectural elements that enhance the exhibit theme and link together individual sections. For “Carnival of Curiosities,” BrownKnows designed and installed a creative framework for displaying an assortment of museum artifacts. In “Never Dry: The Rise of Prohibition on the Iron Range,” BrownKnows designed and installed replica moonshine vats and 3D-printed representations of the regional business districts in the 1910s.
